(NASDAQ:JAVA) today announced that SAP has signed amulti-year agreement with Sun to provide Java(TM) Platform Standard Edition forBusiness (Java SE for Business) to its customers using the SAP NetWeavertechnology platform. This will allow SAP customers to continue using Java SE1.4.2 on both Windows (x8632, x8664, IA64) and Linux (x8632, IA64) platformswith the confidence of having Sun, the creator of the Java(TM) platform,providing support and indemnification. For other platforms, SAPcustomers have ongoing Java SE 1.4.2 support as defined in the support contractwith their corresponding operating system vendor.
